The Sciton Moxi laser is one of the most gentle, yet effective laser treatments available. It is a non-ablative fractional laser used to revitalize your skin and is safe for all skin types, all year-round. This treatment delivers a precise and controlled wavelength that is in-between the dual lasers you get with Halo, often called a "Mini Halo". This wavelength creates pinpoint channels in the skin's top layer without damaging the surface. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing response, stimulating collagen production and promoting the growth of new, healthy skin cells.
This innovative technology is a versatile in-between option for those seeking rejuvenation or correction but is not ready for stronger treatments like Halo. Moxi will treat multiple skin concerns including fine lines, pigmentation, sun damage, uneven skin tone, pores, texture, and even melasma with minimal downtime. If you are noticing early signs of aging and looking to prevent sun damage from becoming more noticeable, Moxi is an effective prejuvenation treatment. Over time, patients often notice smoother, more glowing, even-toned skin, with reduced appearance of imperfections.
Since Moxi does not ablate or remove the top layer of skin, your healing time is significantly reduced compared to Halo; generally about 3-7 days, and is also less noticeable. Results can last several months depending on the individual’s skin type and regimen. Moxi is also a great maintenance treatment for Halo and will give you beautiful results when combined with BBL.

Combination therapies are a faster and more complete option for patients who want the best results in the shortest amount of time. When combing BBL and Moxi together, you will experience more than just an additive effect of the two, but an actual synergistic effect. BBL will target sun damage, age spots, acne, uneven skin tone, redness, and vascular lesions. Moxi will address fine lines and texture and also help the disrupted pigment from the BBL rise to the surface and slough off, speeding up the purging process. Together, they address a variety of both surface imperfections and deeper concerns in one single session, delivering unparalleled results.

This procedure may benefit individuals with fine lines, pores, uneven pigmentation and melasma, as well as anyone who wishes to improve the brightness and health of their skin.
While Moxi laser is safe and effective for most people, some individuals may not be ideal candidates due to factors that could increase risks or impact results. Medical clearance may be required for certain conditions. Please consult with your healthcare provider if you are unsure. Precautions to consider:
Initial improvements are often visible within a few days after treatment, with continued improvement over the following months as your body produces collagen.
Moxi results can vary but typically last several months, however, to maintain these benefits, additional maintenance treatments may be recommended, depending on individual needs and desired outcomes. Proper skincare and sun protection are also crucial for extending the duration of the results.
Minimal downtime is required, for Moxi. Immediately after treatment, your skin will feel hot like a sunburn for approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours, sometimes longer. You will be sent home with a cooling bio-cellulose mask to provide comfort during this time. A few days post-treatment, patients can expect mild swelling and redness with mild flaking of the skin. You may notice a sandpaper texture and light bronzing of the skin. This is treated tissue working its way out as new skin is regenerated. Depending on the treatment area and depth, the healing process will take about 3-7 days. A post-care kit will be provided to help speed up healing.
A Moxi treatment first begins with the option of topical numbing cream applied to the area being treated to ease any discomfort. This will stay on for approximately 20-30 minutes and be removed prior to treatment. Light from a laser can be harmful to eyes and wearing special safety eyewear is necessary at all times during the procedure. During treatment, each section will be treated by rolling the hand piece over the skin to deliver laser energy until completed which usually takes no more than 7 minutes, depending on the treatment area. During treatment, you may feel some warmth with a slight prickling sensation. Cooling measures often help to enhance comfort. Laser treatment procedures may produce scanning patterns visible on the skin. This event usually fades while in the healing phase.
