People with uneven skin tone, wrinkles, sun damage, or acne-prone skin are good candidates. This treatment is unsuitable for individuals with susceptible skin, active skin diseases, or infections.

You can usually see visible improvements in your skin’s appearance after your skin heals, which typically takes about 1 to 14 days, depending on the depth of the peel. For best results, a series of three to six treatments in one to four week intervals is usually recommended.

Lighter peels may require maintenance treatments every one to two months, while deeper peels offer results that can last several months.

Lighter peels may have zero to minimal downtime, while deeper peels have significantly more downtime ranging from a few days to a week or more. There may be redness, dryness, and peeling as side effects.

It involves applying a chemical solution to your skin and leaving it for a certain period, causing it to exfoliate and possibly peel off. You may feel slightly stinging or burning during the application, which usually subsides once the peel takes effect.

• Wait at least 6 months post Accutane/isotretinoin use, as it may compromise the skin’s protective barrier.
• Wait at least 5 days post neurotoxin or filler (injections may be done immediately after).
• This procedure may not be performed on anyone who is pregnant.
• Certain autoimmune conditions, particularly those affecting the skin, may increase the risk of adverse reactions and can impair healing. Please consult with your healthcare provider first.
• If you have a history of skin cancer, especially melanoma, or precancerous lesions in the treatment area, please consult with your healthcare provider first as this treatment could potentially affect malignant cells.
• Discontinue use of aggressive exfoliants, Retinol/Tretinoin, AHA/BHA products, bleaching, waxing, depilatory creams, or any other exfoliating products in the treatment area 7 days prior to treatment.
• If the treatment area has compromised skin (dermatitis, sunburn, open wounds) or you are experiencing an active skin infection (cold sores), the procedure should be postponed until the condition is resolved.

• Avoid strenuous exercise, sweating, heat, saunas, hot tubs, and swimming pools for at least 48 hours or until skin is healed.
• Mineral makeup only may be applied immediately after as long as skin integrity has not been compromised.
• Keep skin hydrated and do not pick, peel, rub, or irritate your skin in any way while it is healing. Doing so may result in scarring and pigmentation complications.
• While the skin is healing, avoid all of the following in the treatment area for 5-7 days: aggressive exfoliants, Retinol/Tretinoin, AHA/BHA products, bleaching, waxing, depilatory creams, shaving, rough cloths, cleansing brushes, scented lotions or soaps, and perfumes/cologne.
• Cleanse the skin two times a day with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser. Use your hands to gently apply the cleanser and water, and finish by patting dry with a soft cloth. Do NOT rub, scrub, exfoliate, or use a skincare brush in the treated area.
• A gentle moisturizer should be applied generously with clean hands over the treated area and reapplied whenever your skin feels dry. Avoid using products with active or exfoliating ingredients until you're fully healed. SPF 30 or higher should be used daily for at least one week, reapplying every 2 hours in direct sun exposure.
• Depending on what peel is performed, freckles and sunspots may initially turn slightly darker and then flake off within a few days. This is a desired and normal reaction. It is pulling pigmentation to the surface to work itself out of the epidermis.
