Superficial peels are typically formulated with naturally derived acids such as alpha hydroxy acid (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acid (BHAs). These gentle peels are ideal for refining texture, boosting radiance, and addressing mild congestion or inflammation with little to no downtime. Medium-depth peels utilize stronger formulations such as trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or resorcinol to penetrate deeper into the skin. These peels target concerns like pigmentation, congestion, fine lines, and uneven skin tone, offering more dramatic results while still remaining controlled and customized.

BioRePeel

BioRePeel® is an Italian made 30% TCA peel that delivers all the benefits of a traditional medium-depth peel with little to no downtime. This unique, two-phase solution combines exfoliation with regenerative biostimulation to support natural collagen production without over-drying or irritating the skin. Designed to bypass the superficial layers, it delivers powerful active ingredients deep into the skin to gently dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells. This triggers a controlled peeling action beneath the surface, stimulating cellular turnover and revealing a fresh, smooth, and radiant new layer of skin.

BioRePeel is powered by a potent blend of 6 acids, 4 amino acids, and vitamins C and B2, making it both corrective and restorative. Safe for all skin tones and types, each treatment is tailored to your skin's needs and tolerance level to gently exfoliate, reduce acne causing bacteria, and unclog pores without over-drying or irritating the skin. The pigment peel is an advanced, medium-depth peel formulated by GlyMed®, designed to deliver visible correction and rejuvenation. This treatment features TCA, known as the gold standard for treating hyperpigmentation, and is offered in three customizable levels of either 7%, 10%, or 15%. Other ingredients may include 5% retinol to stimulate cell turnover, alpha hydroxy acids, naturally derived fruit and plant acids, botanical extracts, antioxidants, and other pigment inhibitors to target stubborn pigmentation, fine lines, congestion, dullness, and uneven texture, while stimulating collagen for smoother, firmer looking skin.

This peel is ideal for moderate to advanced sun damage and is safe for all skin tones. Downtime varies depending on the strength of peel with either very little to more significant peeling.

A classic, results-driven medium-depth peel formulated by GlyMed® which includes 14% lactic acid, 14% salicylic acid, and 14% resorcinol. This powerful blend works to deeply exfoliate, regulate oil, and improve overall skin clarity. Best suited for combination to oily, acne-prone, or keratinized skin, the Jessner Peel effectively treats moderate to advanced acne, acne scarring, texture, and hyperpigmentation. Expect noticeable peeling and downtime of approximately 5-7 days. This treatment is not suitable for darker skin tones.

Brightening Peel

A gentle, superficial peel designed to brighten and rejuvenate the skin with little to no downtime. This treatment features a blend of professional-grade alpha hydroxy acids such as lactic, glycolic, mandelic, and malic acids, along with brightening agents such as arbutin and kojic acid, naturally derived fruit and plant acids, antioxidants, and peptides. Safe for all skin tones and types, including sensitive skin and first-time peel clients. This peel helps improve mild to moderate sun damage and pigmentation, congestion, and dry, dull, uneven texture, leaving the skin glowing, smooth, and refreshed.

Who is a good candidate?

Good candidates are individuals looking to address acne, signs of aging, texture, scarring, and hyperpigmentation.

Who is not a good candidate?

While chemical peels are safe and effective for most people, some individuals may not be ideal candidates due to factors that could increase risks or impact results. Medical clearance may be required for certain conditions. Please consult with your healthcare provider if you are unsure. Precautions to consider:

Pregnancy.
Patients who are undergoing treatment for skin cancer.
Accutane - must wait at least 6 months.
Compromised skin (dermatitis, sunburn, open wounds or sores, infection) in the treatment area.
Autoimmune conditions that affect skin healing (like lupus or active vitiligo) - consult with your healthcare provider first.

When will I see results?

Improvements are often visible shortly after the first treatment, with more significant results after subsequent sessions. For best results, a series of treatments in 1-4 week intervals is usually recommended, depending on what peel is performed.

How long do results last?

Lighter peels may require maintenance treatments every 1-2 months, while deeper peels offer results that can last several months, depending on the individual’s skin care routine and condition.

Is there any downtime or side effects?

Superficial peels and BioRePeel typically have zero to minimal downtime, while medium-depth peels can have more moderate peeling. There may be redness, dryness, and peeling as side effects. With deeper peels, freckles and sunspots may initially turn slightly darker and then lighten within a few days. This is normal and part of the process.

How does this treatment work?

It involves applying a chemical solution to your skin and leaving it on for a certain period, causing it to exfoliate and possibly peel off. Some peels may be layered. The active ingredients might cause a slight stinging or burning sensation during the application, which usually subsides once the peel takes effect.

Before + After Care

Before Treatment

Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 3 days prior to treatment.
Avoid exfoliants and skin irritants (retinol, benzoyl peroxide or acne medications, vitamin C if strong or acidic, hydroquinone, AHAs, BHAs, astringents, depilatories, waxing, shaving, etc.) in the treatment area for at least 72 hours prior to treatment.
Avoid corticosteroids and antibiotics for at least 7 days to minimize irritation. Consult with your healthcare provider before discontinuing medication.
Avoid facial injections, lasers, and other facial treatments for 1-2 weeks before receiving a chemical peel.

After Treatment

Avoid sweating, excessive heat, swimming, hot showers, and sauna use for at least 48 hours or until skin is fully healed.
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 72 hours or until skin is fully healed, depending on which peel is performed. Keep the area covered with a hat or loose clothing and apply a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) SPF 30+ to prevent hyperpigmentation.
Avoid artificial tanning (spray tans, tanning lotions, etc.), exfoliants, and skin irritants (retinol, benzoyl peroxide or acne medications, vitamin C if strong or acidic, hydroquinone, AHAs, BHAs, astringents, depilatories, waxing, shaving, etc.) in the treatment area for at least 72 hours or until skin is fully healed.
Avoid putting on makeup immediately after.
